"Parting is such sweet sorrow" .......

Well, it's almost time to bid Adieu to our "WHITE LION". (Branca Leao - Gaucho III)

He will be heading to Northern California, a trip that his own Mom took a couple of months ago. It is a long journey for a yearling colt, but he is in great hands with Gail Murphy,  http://murphyspets.com

He has been a pleasure to be with and I have to admit, I will miss his presence.
Congratulations to Michelle Nandy, who fell in love and had to have him!

DREAMWEAVER and ANTONIO

DREAMWEAVER by Zonik out of Dream Rubina (Dream of Glory - Rubinstein)

I love this photo from Sally Moehring! Antonio Lopez has worked for me for THIRTY years! How many foals has he presented in inspection!!?? I counted 54 GOV Premium Award plaques on the barn wall yesterday, as I was adding our precious offering of 2 from this year. Since I have been in Florida, since 1998, we have presented 54 foals to the GOV, and Antonio ran with them all. Before that, in Texas, we had a history with the Oldenburg Verband since 1984! So, this was our 29th consecutive inspection with GOV!

My 38th foal crop! This is The Templar by Temptation out of Finale

Finale is sister to Dream Rubina (Same dam Reine H)
Old gal and her fancy Templar!

Clipped body, left hair for biting fly protection!
My lovely young mare, FINALE, 3rd generation of Yancey Farms' program (Furst Heinrich out of Reina H by Rubinstein)

Of course, best trot behind Mom

Always such effortless movement

Dream Rubina and her grand-daughter, Quite Feine!

Yesterday we took the opportunity to grab a couple of photos of the generations! Quite Feine represents my 5th generation ...... and everyone that has been around the barn has noticed how the yearling filly is crazy about her Granny, Dream Rubina.
Quite Feine by Qredit , Dream Rubina's son!

10 y.o. Dream Rubina and grand daughter Quite Feine

Look how happy and easy both girls are.
She just goes crazy when she sees Granny ..... calling, standing on her hind legs to see out her stall. And she was so peaceful to stand for photos with her sweet Granny. Quite Feine was bred by Meg Sherman out of her mare VPS Feiner Dance )Feiner Stern - Riverman)
Blood will tell!

2013 Foal Inspection is history already!

Hard to believe that another Inspection has come and gone! This marks my 29th consecutive inspection with the German Oldenburg Verband! While we did not have a large quantity of foals to present, we certainly had the quality!
