Soon we will be closing the books on another breeding season!

Hard to believe how fast this season flew by. Slow to start, it quickly rose into a loud crescendo and then began to dwindle, going out like a lamb! As we wind down, I only want to tell you that I will be taking my annual end of summer sabbatical, and there will be no shipments made after August 12th. So, if you think you may need any doses that I have, feel free to use my nifty new shopping cart!

Sometimes shipments come in a jumbled mess!

The old Standby "mushroom shippers" had to be supplemented this season by a new system, the Cryoport Dry Shippers. Cryoport sure saved my life and enabled me never to have to say  "No, I am sorry, I don't have a shipper available" !

FURST NOBLE at his German Oldenburg inspection, July 16th - Sold

The only son of FURST HEINRICH bred and born in the U.S. and out of a most revered mare line!

NOBLE is older than most foals doing the inspections, having been born on January 1st, so doesn't have the "baby charm" of the youngsters, but he shows solid conformation with very easy, natural suspension and the supple, strong walk that his wonderful dam, DREAM RUBINA, is known for in all of her children.

The breeding lines of this colt are MADE for performance. He is the type and has the solid interior qualities that will train up the levels. With his strong hind leg, broad hocks and clear mind, he is the very type that will be a solid FEI horse at the end of the day.

DREAM RUBINA is out of my foundation mare line (1977), the mare HELENA "E" (Elite Trakehner) whose bloodlines are also a who's who of Trakehner performance, being by HERBSTSTURM - PREGEL - BORIS.  I have produced 5 licensed stallions from this mare line.
DREAM RUBINA is dam to the well respected stallion QREDIT of Hilltop Farms, himself a producer of consistent top quality offspring.... blood will tell.

This is a short clip to mark the day of inspection for entry into German Oldenburg Verband registry

SEEKER, new colt by SEZUAN out of DREAM RUBINA - Sold

There is quite a story behind this boy.

SEEKER at TWO days of age

Last year, for the first time, I decided to offer ET babies, "in utero" from Dream Rubina. In all, there were 4 that I offered; 3 were purchased, but this breeding , by Sezuan, was fetal sexed as a "filly", and callers were somehow disappointed that it was "filly" and not "Colt". I said, "well, you never know. We have been surprised before, and I cannot guarantee that it is filly." Still, no one wanted to jump up for a filly option. So, time passed and I decided I would keep the filly, as I have no Dream Rubina replacement.

FILLY by Sezuan x Dream Rubina born May 2nd

Yep, you got it! The one that WAS purchased, sexed as a "colt",  was a FILLY!

Seeker 2 days

COLT by Sezuan x Dream Rubina born July 3rd!

Shirley won't give her up for anything! And mine was born, here me waiting for that awesome filly like Shirley had..... and he is a clone of the filly, but a BOY. Just look at these two babies - such strong genetics.

I just do not keep colts any longer.

One of the yearling girls.... Selah is sold

My two well bred yearling fillies have rarely been "seen in public". They seem to grow like weeds and are never in the right frame to photo, much less video. I seldom offer yearlings for sale, but, in this case, I think it is time, as I am dwindling down my breeding operation and selling off the prize mares and fillies from my long time (41 years) of breeding.

Here we have "SELAH" ( SEZUAN - PAINTED BLACK - DONNERHALL - LEMON xx - TRAPPER!) Just a fabulous, deep pedigree, and I am proud of her genetics.

She was born March 14, 2014; registered and branded Westfalen and imported last December.

She will be a very tall one, over 17 hands I'd say.

SELAH is definitely stamped by her sire, down to the snip on his nose. Her legs are correct, very long, so she is somewhat gangly at the  moment. But she will get her power back and will be an impressive riding horse. Selah is SOLD

For inquiries, please call 1 800 867-7021

I am pleased to introduce you to the "SEEKER"...2 days old!

Delightful colt by SEZUAN out of DREAM RUBINA (Dream of Glory - Rubinstein)

The final embryo transfer foal this year from our wonderful Dream Rubina! In all, she had 5; a colt by Furst Heinrich (Fuerst Noble), then a colt by Totilas, a filly by Totilas, and a filly by Sezuan.

Dear SEEKER tops off my 41st foal crop.

Short video of a "HOT" Noble! -Sold

Hot in that, yes, he is a sexy boy.... but HOT as in it is really HOT in Florida right now!

Fuerst Noble by Fuerst Heinrich out of Dream Rubina (Dream of Glory - Rubinstein)

SO here is a short overview of Noble. Taken yesterday, 100+ degrees …… he will be 6 months old July 1st. That IS Dream Rubina with him.

You can see his excellent Oldenburg type, very much like Furst Heinrich, but also stamped by his good Mama. He has her big, powerful, loose walk; her very good topline; he has very good joints (substance). Like Rubina, joints are clean and strong, not heavy but proportionate to body size. I anticipate that he will have the mentality and hind leg carrying power to train up the levels and be very consistent. Can’t beat these bloodlines for willingness to work and hardiness. I know that he is butt high, but there just is not a perfect time to video youngsters after 3 months!

I would love to see him have a chance at a competition career and to be able to continue the little dynasty that Dream Rubina has started. His big brother, Qredit  (Quaterback x Dream Rubina)is doing Prix St. Georges now, and Hilltop and Michael are very pleased with him and the extra quality of his collected gaits. W. Ellington (by Wynton) in Australia continues to excel in competition and is 4th level, schooling the Prix St. Georges now. Apollo (by Ampere) is in the good hands of JJ Tate….. so I hope that this year’s foals of Rubina can join the competition ranks someday.

What IS IT with AOL???

Every email I have been sending to AOL users is bouncing back. This is bad for business, as people are inquiring about horses for sale and ordering frozen semen. I don't want them to think I am not responding. It is VERY frustrating.
I contacted my Webmaster, and she found out that this issue with AOL is ongoing and AOL is aware of the problem.
SO PLEASE..... if you have sent me an email from an AOL account and have not received my response, please just pick up the phone and CALL me. I have had the same 800# for almost 20 years, so I KNOW it works! Much easier to get things done in a timely manner.  1 800 867-7021   Thanks for allowing my rant!!

Updated video of FRIGGA

FRIGGA (Florencio - Pik Labionics -Manstein - Tin Rocco) is a Westfalen branded, class act mare! She has her first qualifying score of 8.1 for the 2015 4 year old Young Horse Championships. She is now preparing for her second Qualifying Class in a couple of weeks. Altho she is currently in a growth stage, and a bit butt high, she works hard and is gaining suppleness. She is a most elegant mare, and many spectators and judges have commented on her "Outstanding ring presence". She likes her job, is consistently kind and generous. She is a true find for the Adult Amateur looking for a best friend and a solid competition horse to climb the levels. The sky is the limit for FRIGGA.

Breeding season 2015...

Lil Darlin at 3 1/2 months

This season of 2015 will have to go down for me as one of my worst in 41 breeding seasons! Granted, I am down to only 2 of my long time program's warmblood breeding mares, Dream Rubina and her sister Finale, but so far I have nothing from either one! Finale DID give 2 embryos by Grey Flanell and 1 embryo from DeNiro - unfortunately NONE of them survived in the recipient mares! Ugh..... I don't EVEN want to add that loss up!

The one bright spot is that my special dun Kiger/Andalusian mare, Cherokee Morning Breeze has given us another coming foal by the stallion Temptation (Tailormade Temptation). Her filly by him this year is just so exceptional. I just had to try again. And, of course, she conceived on one dose and is now 65+ days, and reported to be carrying a COLT for  2016! So, anyone wanting to snag another super interesting and stunning mover like Lil Darlin should pay attention!

Just LOOK at Lil now!! She is just something special!

ZONIK frozen semen has arrived - SOLD OUT

The ZONIK semen made it in just fine from Holland. I am so relieved that it is, because he is such a "hot" sire at the moment that they cannot keep up with breedings via cooled semen, and are using up the frozen there. His competition schedule will increase at the end of the breeding season, and there will not be another opportunity to collect for freezing.

This is the same reason that the other stallions owned by Glock's are not generally available for breeding. This might be the last we receive of Zonik for a while! It happened 2 years ago, when he sold to Glock's. They took him out of breeding to concentrate on his training. And what a smart decision that was... the progress that Ed Gal has made with Zonik is nothing less than stupendous.

Included in this shipment are also TOTO JR., Dark President, Alexandro P and Charmeur.

Quite Feine - 2 Weeks Under Saddle - She is SOLD

This is the darling young mare "Quite Feine", aka "Ellie", who has just turned 3 years of age! She has just been started and these photos and video show her less than 3 weeks under saddle. To say she is bright and willing is an understatement!

She is one of the first offspring of QREDIT under saddle. (Qredit, my breeding, by Quaterback out of my Dream Rubina) and she just could not be more delightful! She is a compact size for the more petite rider, probably topping at 15.3 - 16 hands. But don't tell HER that! She has movement like a Ferrari and a heart as big as Texas! Willing and ready to go, anywhere, anytime! She is just a delight to be around, sound, strong, healthy, with absolutely nothing to apologize for!

Oh.... you all are in for a BIG surprise!!

Next time you CLICK on Yancey-Farms.com you will go "Oh!" and you will smile, I am SURE of it!! After almost 20 years (since 1996 with my current website!) I capitulated and have been working with a couple of sharp ladies to put up a fresh new site, all tricked out with shopping cart and oh so much more!  I hope you will take the time to travel through the site and enjoy! It may take a few days for the Domain to totally switch over, but don't give up.

Thank you to Tandra Rabold of Oxygen Advertising here in Ocala and Nora Kramer of Photo Design by Nora. Tandra has been handling all of my advertising and web management for many years, and has been gently pushing me to do the work of a new site. Thank HER if you like it!

New pricing on Benetton Dream!

My inventory of Benetton Dream is now priced at $850 per dose! Fertility has always been excellent with the strong stallion.

He is competing with Tinne Vilhelmsen Silfven in the Gran Prix.

Benetton Dream has been very successful with the mare base in the U.S., producing strong, tall and athletic foals.

Great time to snag great shipping rates!

With a marked increase in my vapor shipper fleet, I am able to offer great rates.

By ordering this time of the season, before the Chinese Fire Drill of needing doses the next day (!), we are able to ship out Fed Ex 2 day, and return ground, offering you a truly substantial savings in shipping costs.

For instance, I just processed two shipments, one going to Maryland was $182 roundtrip, and one going to California was $175. The savings of 2nd day over overnight are appreciable.

Fuerst Noble, the "orphaned" colt, at 2 1/2 months

Proudly cared for by his biological Mom, Dream Rubina, Noble is thriving. And his adoption is a story for my book of horse stories over 40+ years of breeding.

The back story is that he lost his recipient Mom, Buttercup, at 7 weeks :-(

Within 12 hours he was accepted and attached to his true dam, the awesome mare Dream Rubina.

He still drinks his "bucket milk", and has his Mom for stability, discipline and direction.

He gets to visit with his Aunt Finale and friend Hear Me Sing

NOBLE is available for purchase to the dedicated, discerning trainer/owner. With his deep pedigree and athletic type, he should be a valuable addition to a quality program.
